Are you interested in Art History?

Then Artistory might be for you. It is a group of art enthusiasts who meet on (typically) four Saturday mornings per year to hear talks on various artists or movements. There are also occasional visits, usually to local exhibitions.

7th March 26 - Sarah Pearson - "Power and Propaganda at the Court of Federico da Montefeltro, Count of Urbino"

9th May 26 - Jasmine Allen, Stained Glass Museum, Ely - "Painting with Light - A thousand years of Stained Glass in Britain"

19th Sept 26 - Marion Arnold - Manet and Cezanne

5th December 26 - Mike Baldry - will discuss Picasso's 'Guernica 1937'

20th March 27 - Alan Waters - "Art in Russia"(to be confirmed)

June 2027 - Maria Pennington - "Fabergé, Lalique and Periods in Time in relation to jewellery"

25th September 27 - Roger Simpson - "The unbearable Solitude of American Freedom"

4th December 27 - Tania Harrington - "Writers in Art"

and possibly one or more group visits, to be confirmed

Meetings are held at Anteros, in Fye Bridge Street, Norwich, NR3 1LJ (next to The Merchant's House) and run between 10.30 and 12.30 including a short coffee break. There is no subscription fee but to cover running costs we charge £10 per lecture which is payable in advance.
